Side story 2: A night in the black rose mansion
This is the 2nd story of the 1st side story section. In addition, I plan to embark on the 2nd section from the next chapter onward.

Although Reiji had decided to go to the town with the dungeon, he ended up lodging at the black rose mansion as it was already quite late.
Shortly after the conversation held with Anri after dinner, he was led to the bathroom by Tena.

A big bathroom has been created according to Anri’s wishes in the black rose mansion, but because the inhabitants are originally only females without a single man, it is not divided into men’s and ladies’ bath.
Therefore, in responses to the situation of Reiji staying, a sequence for entering the single bath has been arranged.
Although Reiji was more or less in a guest position, he, at Anri’s strong insistence, was to enter the bath in turn after all the female members were done.
As Reiji himself did not have any particular objection to it either, it became the sequence according to Anri’s claims.

“This is the bath………h, huh? Anri-sama?”

Tena has been guiding Reiji, but raised her voice to Anri’s appearance in front of the bathroom.
Although Reiji notices at the same time and looks, Anri turns her back to their direction and crouches down to do something.

The 2 of them went around to Anri’s side to peer at what she is doing.
There, she was installing a notice board in front of the bath.
Such characters are written on the notice board.

『A MAN IS BATHING! DO NOT ENTER BY MISTAKE!』

Furthermore, it seems that Anri had replace the notice board originally put up before this, and the considerably different notice board that was originally put up was lying sideways.

『WOMAN BATHING! DEATH PENALTY TO PEEPERS!』

“Scary!!?”

“Ahaha……I was just thinking that there was a strange notice board when I entered just now, so it was put up by Anri-sama.”

Reiji and Tena exclaimed with a stiff voice to the notice board Anri has erected. Incidentally, since there is only Anri and young Lili in addition to Tena and Reiji in the black rose mansion, there cannot be anyone else putting up such a notice board besides Anri.

“Because it seems like he will enter by mistake when Tena is is taking off her clothes if I do not put it up.”

“I don’t do such things.”

Reiji informs Anri while glaring at her over the mask. Somehow, she seem to still hold a grudge against him lifting up her skirt with wind magic.
Reiji denies it while holding his head to endure a headache.

“Perhaps, do you like a younger child?
Do not get close to Lili too much.”

“That is absolutely incorrect.”
Anri returned from the diagonal angle to Reiji’s denial. Reiji’s headache increased in strength.

“Then, I──”

“Ahaha……Anri-sama, that’s about it. Ah, please be at ease, Mr.Reiji.”

“──wait, I have not finished speaking…….Wait, stop pushing”

Was she thinking that this situation will lead to nowhere? In addition to interrupting Anri’s questioning talk, Tena pushes Anri and forces her to leave.

“What, on earth was that……?”

Although Reiji who was left alone was in a daze, he pulled himself together and entered the bath soon.

“I won’t do something like peeping.”

Muttering as if making an excuse to somebody, Reiji imagined the scene just a little.

After about 30 minutes, Reiji finished bathing and left the bathroom.
The all-female household of the black rose mansion naturally doesn’t have a change of clothes for a man, but because the bathrobe for visitor was narrowly just something that both a men and women can use, that was borrowed and worn.

When Reiji is walking down the corridor, he notices light leaking out from the reception room he was in until just now.
When peering from the gap in the door that is a little open curiously, there was a masked woman, Anri, sitting on a chair and drinking tea.

“Are you alone?”

“Because both Tena and Liili went to sleep already.”

Anri prepares a another cup and poured tea while saying so.
It seems like Reiji’s share has also been prepared somehow or other.

“Here.”

“Thank you.”

Reiji sat on the seat diagonal of Anri when receiving the cup.

“………..”
“…………”

Only the sound of sipping tea in silence could be heard for a while while both of them were not talking.
Although Reiji was hesitating about what would be good to say, he was asked a question by Anri first.

“Aren’t you uneasy, coming to another world suddenly?”

“Of course although I am uneasy, honestly there is not much of a sense of reality still.
I had thought that it was a different world when I saw the townscape and such things, but……there wasn’t time to look freely as I was being pursued.
How was it for you Ms.Anri?”

“Although I was uneasy, I didn’t have the free time to consider as I was pressed to handle various matters.”

“I feel like this too.
Although it seems like there are various things to consider if I had the time.”

Although strictly speaking they are slightly different, the talk continued for a while in this manner with Anri telling her  experience in the past of coming to this world with similar circumstance as a common feature to Reiji.

“Do you want another cup?”

“No, it’s okay.
Furthermore, it seems that I will not be able to sleep if I drink anymore.
I am going to bed soon.”

“I see, good night.
Just leave the cup there.”

“Yes, thank you.
Good night.”

Saying so, Reiji got up from his seat and left the room.

“……Although he doesn’t seem to be a bad person, but I will not approve of him so easily.”

After Reiji has left, Anri who was left alone in the room muttered in a low voice that couldn’t be heard by anyone.

Reiji enters the bed in the room separately prepared.
Although he was uneasy thinking of the so-called ‘bed’ in a different world, it seems that he was able to sleep with a feeling similar to staying in a high class hotel with the soft touch of the futon.
However in reality, this place, this black rose mansion, is just out of the norm after all, and Reiji’s expectation of the level of a normal inn would in fact be more accurate.

Although Reiji had answer that there wasn’t a sense of reality when Anri asked if he felt uneasy just now, when he entered a bed he was not used to like this and looks at the ceiling, he could feel the difference with his original world after all.

The number one thing he was thinking of, was the point of whether it was possible for him to return to his original world.

Naturally, there are friends and family of Reiji in his original world. As he didn’t imagine he would be separated suddenly, he didn’t want to think that it may be impossible to meet with them any longer.
Surely anyone would be so.

Even looking events reported on the news etc, there are few people who can imagine it happening to them self in reality.
Well, in fact, if it’s the case unimaginable in normal situation, such as summoning to a different world, it’s all the more that way.

When Reiji was summoned, he was in the classroom at school.
If seen from a classmate’s point of view, he would appeared to have disappeared suddenly, and in reality it is so.
What kind of uproar is there? Are his family thinking of him right now? There are endless things to think about.
Closing his eyes, Reiji imagines the state of his original world.

He who is exhausted in both his mind and body from various things happening, departed for his dream like this without noticing.
